Five year Frame Warranty

At Tora Cycles, we build frames to be ridden hard and enjoyed for years to come. Every frame is designed and manufactured with durability, reliability and long-term performance in mind, and we stand behind the quality of our materials and workmanship.

All Tora frames purchased directly from us are covered by a 5 year warranty for the original owner. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during the lifetime of the frame.

If your frame develops a fault caused by a manufacturing defect, we will assess the issue and, where applicable, repair the frame free of charge. If a repair is not possible, we will provide a like-for-like replacement. If the original model is no longer available, we will replace it with a frame of equivalent specification and value.

What is not covered?

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover damage or issues resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Crash or impact damage
  • Incorrect assembly or installation
  • Modifications or alterations to the frame
  • Corrosion caused by insufficient care or maintenance
  • Failure to meet minimum seat post insertion requirements
  • Excessive loads outside normal riding conditions
  • Damage caused during transportation, including bike racks, vehicle transport or lifts
  • Damage caused by incompatible components
  • Damage resulting from poor maintenance or lack of care

We recommend checking your bike before every ride to ensure all components are correctly fitted, secure and in good condition.

As with all steel frames, preventative maintenance will help protect your investment. We recommend applying a light spray oil through the frame vent holes periodically to assist with corrosion protection, and applying grease to the seat post and seat tube interface to prevent corrosion.

How to make a warranty claim

If you believe your frame has developed a manufacturing fault, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Frame details and specification
  • Proof of original purchase
  • Date of purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs or video showing the fault

We will review the information provided and determine whether the issue is covered under warranty. In some cases, we may request additional information or require the frame to be returned to our workshop for inspection.

All warranty assessments are made at the discretion of Tora Cycles Ltd.

Repairs and replacements

If your claim is approved, we will arrange the necessary repair work with you.

We aim to complete warranty repairs within 90 days of receiving the frame at our workshop. If any delays occur, we will keep you updated throughout the process.

If a replacement frame is required, we aim to provide this within 90 days of confirming the replacement. Replacement frames will be supplied as a like-for-like model wherever possible. If the original model is no longer available, we will provide a frame of equivalent quality and specification.

All replacement frames will be returned free of charge.

Clear coat etch lacquer 

Finish Disclaimer

Etch lacquer is intentionally different from powder coat. It offers a distinctive raw-metal appearance but is less resistant to chips, scratches and abrasion. Cosmetic wear should be expected, particularly with regular off-road use.

By choosing this finish, you acknowledge that:

  • Cosmetic wear, scratches and stone chips are considered normal.
  • The finish may naturally change in appearance over time.
  • No warranty is provided against cosmetic wear, fading, corrosion or finish deterioration.
  • Marks caused by riding, transport, assembly or maintenance are considered part of normal use.
  • For maximum durability, we recommend choosing one of our powder-coated finishes.

Finish Disclaimer – Etch Lacquer Coating

The Tora frame has been finished using an etch lacquer coating rather than a powder coat. Etch lacquer provides a lightweight, aesthetically pleasing finish but is not as hard-wearing or impact-resistant as powder coating. As a result, the coating may be more susceptible to chips, scratches, abrasion, and general wear over time, particularly with regular off-road use.

By purchasing this product, you acknowledge and accept that the finish durability differs from powder coat finishes. No warranty or guarantee is provided in relation to the paint or surface finish, including resistance to wear, chipping, fading, or corrosion.

Normal use, environmental exposure, transportation, assembly, and maintenance may affect the longevity and appearance of the coating, and any resulting cosmetic changes are considered expected wear and are not covered by any warranty.
